Metropolis

Scott Emmons, Guitar and Vocals

Birthplace & Background
I was born on the planet Earth at a very early age and quickly grew older. By the 2nd day I was alive I was twice as old as the day before. A couple of days later it happened again. The rest is a matter of public record and available in my FBI file.

Musical Influences
As a wee tyke I became aware of The Beatles and thus began my trek to my present Guitarded state. Influenced along the way by Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and countless other guitarists and musicians from around the world and from all types of music. I really appreciate people who play from the heart.

Musical Background
I was a weird kid, playing professionally by the age of 12 (great fake I.D.s to get into the clubs). I have played, recorded and toured most of my life. Spent a lot of time surfing in the 70s to avoid Disco, shredded through the 80s and moved from Seattle to Miami in the mid/late 90s. I have played with famous, infamous and unknown people. I liked the nice ones.

Where I'm At Now
Currently I teach guitar, bass, songwriting and most importantly, musicality. I am a session guitarist and arranger working with a great producer every week. And, as you might have guessed I play guitar and sing with Metropolis where I get to have FUN! Since I am a patient and tailored-to-the-student, from begining to advanced TEACHER, if you need help, drop me a line!

What I'm Looking Forward To
As is the case with most guitarists I have GAS (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome) and the number of guitars I need is one. More. I just love to play and make the audience happy and tired from dancing. I'm looking forward to the next tight arrangement of a great danceable song that grooves. And the return of the electric car.
